The original name of the card seems to be Evil Knight Dragon, written in English (or rather, katakana). While “naito” can be “night” or “knight”, the flavor text of the card mentions the spirit of a wicked knight, so my guess is that he’s a more knightly fellow. Of course, nothing about the monster’s design really suggests that, so I can’t really fault the mixup.
