Yu-Gi-Oh tries its hand at the legend of the kamaitachi, or “sickle weasel”, with the windy warriors known as Yosenju.
And takes several other gusty ghouls under its wing in the process.
Seriously, I was kind of surprised at how many others there were.
Summoned Skull, one of the oldest cards in both the Yu-Gi-Oh card game and the original manga, has long been suspected to be an homage to a famous(?) Magic card.
While we may never get a true answer on the matter, the introduction of a new Summoned Skull card in 2018 lends a little more credence to this theory…
I don’t know how to break it to you if you don’t already know, but…this game has a lot of puns.
Like, a whole lot. Especially in Japanese.
